The Financial Managing Director/CFO

Our client is an independent, privately owned company, global leader and systems supplier of high-end quality shifter modules and full car interiors.  Headquartered in Germany, the expanding company employs more than 5000 people at 12 production plants on 3 continents.  Sales are in excess of 450 million Euros.



The Position and Responsibilities

We have been assigned to identify and select a dynamic and seasoned Financial Managing Director / CFO to lead the company’s plans for growth at its 2 plants in Alabama with about 500 employees.  Reporting to the CEO of the Group in Germany you are in charge of the commercial departments at the production sites and will be assisted by a team of 7 managers.  You will be responsible for Finance, Controlling, Accounting, HR, IT, Data Management, Purchasing and Reporting, according to corporate guidelines.

  • Financial statement analysis
  • P&L forecast
  • Accounting and year end closing
  • Project management
  • Corporate process improvement projects
  • Cash management
  • Capital expenditures
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Business process re-engineering
  • Policy and procedure documentation
  • Provide leadership in developing and implementing policies and procedures for EDP and computer systems operations
  • Ensure compliance of all HR processes in line with local requirements


The Qualifications and Requirements

You will meet the high expectations of our client if you have a degree in finance, accounting or business administration and at least 10 years of finance experience in roles of increasing responsibility with an international manufacturing automotive supplier. You are familiar with US GAAP, German GAAP and IFRS; knowledge of SAP would be helpful. Ideally, you are able to comply with all TS16949 policies and procedures.


You have strong analytical, conceptual, planning and strategic abilities plus excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You are the driving force during the growth-related restructuring and have experience in streamlining processes and procedures. You know how to identify, recruit, motivate, coach and develop your team. You are able to present your reports and recommendations in a transparent, concise and timely manner. German language capability would be a plus.


You are a high energy, results-oriented manager with a consistent track record of achieving superior goals. You have entrepreneurial spirit and drive, are a strong leader and enjoy being a member of a topnotch international management team.



The Terms

Contractual terms are commensurate with international standards. The compensation package will be persuasive if you are the hands-on manager our client is seeking. We will be happy to discuss contract details during a face-to-face-interview.
